The hand dyed handspun yarns I spin have the flavour and feel of Alaska, New Zealand and Australia. A Gathering of Fibers dye to the beautiful colors of Central Otago New Zealand, Australia and Alaska. Central Otago has lush thyme covered hillsides and strikingly beautiful Falll colors. Alaska is known for the famous Northern Lights with all spectrum of colors, sea, forests, flowers, glaciers and the seasons of Alaska. Australia is a diverse country with arid deserts, amazing beaches, Great Barrier Reef, rich rainforests, bush colors and diverse wildlife. My dyed handspun yarn is unique and one of a kind.

My Mother taught me to knit when I was nine and I am in the process of studying for my Certificate in Excellence in Handknitting. I also teach knitting on request and professionally hand knit for individuals and retail stores throughout Alaska. My speciality is knitting products from Touch Yarns, upon request I will also knit from other yarns.
I design my Alaskan Fur and Mohair Bears, each bear evolves into an adorable character with their own personality. Every bear is created with love and attention to detail. My bears start from 8" to 15", you may purchase from this secure site and on order. I lived in Bradfield Canal, Southeast Alaska where black and multi colored brown bears roamed freely, I was fascinated with the majestic brown and black bears and my first mohair handcrafted jointed teddy bear was born in July 2002. Every bear that I design and handcraft is made from quality materials. Bradfield Bears is now called A Gathering of Fibers Bears and are certified to carry the "Made In Alaska" logo. A Gathering of Fibers Bears are one-of-a- kind, and open editions. The Bears will come dressed or undressed upon their own request.
