Australia is a diverse country with arid deserts, amazing beaches, Great Barrier Reef, rich rainforests, bush colors and diverse wildlife. My dyed handspun yarn is unique and one of a kind.

My Mother taught me to knit when I was nine and I am in the process of studying for my Certificate in Excellence in Handknitting. I also teach knitting on request and professionally hand knit for individuals and retail stores throughout Alaska. My speciality is knitting products from Touch Yarns, upon request I will also knit from other yarns.

I design my Alaskan Fur and Mohair Bears, each bear evolves into an adorable character with their own personality. I lived in Bradfield Canal, Southeast Alaska where black and multi colored brown bears roamed freely, I was fascinated with the majestic brown and black bears and my first mohair handcrafted jointed teddy bear was born in July 2002. Every bear that I design and handcraft is made from quality materials. Bradfield Bears is now called A Gathering of Fibers Bears and are certified to carry the "Made In Alaska" logo. A Gathering of Fibers Bears are one-of-a- kind, and open editions. The Bears will come dressed or undressed upon their own request.
