<!– @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } –>

The mixed media prints have opened up new gateways of creativity, imagination and communication. This western contemporary art genre was first witnessed in 1970s and was produced by using different forms (two or more) artistic media. It actually began around 1912 in Cubist colleges. The artistic impressions of Picasso and Georges Braque were the first to use different media and artistic attitudes such as ink, pastels, metallic pens, leafing, collage, acrylic paints and colors.

This form of Mixed Media Textiles and texture is an abstract form of art and includes visual art. The creators of mixed media prints select colors very carefully and have to make layers meticulously because colors could mix and layers need proper time to dry to maintain the integrity of print. For mixed media print, the texture should be tough and strong to hold the various layers. The texture could be a variety of materials like hand painted silks, cotton fabric, applied fibers, digital images, collage, dyed velvets, stitched clothes and objects such as driftwood or sea-glass. The texture becomes a palette of various attitudes and imaginations. Mixed prints are not about throwing various colors on one platform. Instead, it’s a very thoughtful medium of impression.

This abstract art is adventurous, unpredictable and surprising in many ways. The artists, admirers and viewers respond to this very quickly as its very captivating. The simple thought or an expression of artist can be explained in various ways. Mixed Media Prints allow greater versatility for creators. Seeing the various options of textures available such as terracotta, cardboard, carpet, spray, oil paints and graphite mixed prints offer unique conceptual and ultimate viewer experience. Artists use various Mixed Media Art Embellishing, innovative paintings, sprays, sculpture, needle work and embossing to create various expressions of arts and emotions which go beyond the ordinary, explanations and expectations. An artist has to be very careful about what he wants to portray and what he wants to use to create layers as where this art allows you unlimited space to show your creativity and display your imagination, it never permits you to drift your mind as then, you will get nothing out of it.

31 May 2010 - 12:18Photo Art: The Beauty Of Photo Retouching

Art is an expression of man’s passions, his hopes and the hidden sentiments that only become available for the world to see in a very few seconds. As a matter of fact, many people consider art to be their release from the stress and tension they encounter in the day. There is no wonder then why art has pervaded every fiber of human activity. Even in areas that are considered art in itself, there are still signs of man’s continued drive towards attaining a higher level of art by introducing photo art. In this, man is able to express his feelings by changing something that is already an art in itself, either because he sees something else missing or because he simply wants to convey his own idea through manipulation of pictures.

What Constitutes a Photo Art?

Photo art covers all the major aspects in photo retouching. This includes manipulation of the objects in the picture, manipulation of the settings during which the picture was taken to create a different style into the picture as well as removal of unwanted objects.  In specific terms, the following are the most useful and commonly used features of photo art:

Changing the tone of the picture. This feature involves changing the dominant shades in the picture. A common variation of this is to change a colored picture into black and white creating a grayscale picture. Another effect involves the creation of a picture with inverted colors wherein dark areas appear white and light areas become dark. This also makes possible the creation of pictures that appear like film negatives when only silhouettes of the picture’s subjects are noticed and not the specific details.
Smoothening of the skin and subject’s hair. This is very important especially in pictures that were taken during windy days. Because the hair is frizzy, it does not look good on picture. No need to worry though because through artistic manipulations, your hair will appear neat as if it was freshly combed.
Removal of unwanted objects. If there are certain parts in the photo that you do not like for whatever reason, thanks to photo art, you can now get rid of it. Immediately, the photo will look differently as if it was taken in a different location. In place of the removed object, you can place other objects that conform to the photo without being obvious that it was manipulated.
Another feature that makes photo art popular is that you can also change the scenery. For example, a picture of you taken in a mall can instantly become a picture taken in a meadow, in a beach or anywhere else you fancy being.

Photo art is indeed one of the best things that ever happen to picture manipulation. With the photo art service from Sharper Images Now, there is an endless world of opportunities. With your imagination as the limit, there are motley of effects that can be created in a single photo.

There is the craftsmanship and materials including carbon fiber, titanium, stainless steel and polished glass. 30 May 2010 - 13:05China’s Handmade Embroidery – Embroidered Silk Visual Art

Hisotry of Chinese Handmade Embroidery

China has always been famous for its silk and its handmade silk embroidery. For millennia, the renowned “Silk Road” brought Chinese silk and embroidery to Central Asia, Western Asia, Europe and Africa. The silk trade created exchanges between China, India, Greece and Rome and acted as a link between these four ancient civilizations.

Since the earliest fabric samples of 3000 B.C. People in China realise that human beings have wanted to enliven their surroundings clothing, toiletries and linens by adding hand work of some kind over the woven fabrics.

Different areas of the devised their own peculiar styles. The type of thread, colors, motifs and presentation of each area and style are unique. Each region had a few stitches unique to their style. The motifs were related to nature and religion and everyday life of people.

Religious embroideries spanned the breadth of the age of the many religious organizations and royal courts. Handmade Embroidery art had patrons just like other art forms. These embroideries include gold threads or zardosi, chikankari, kasuti and kashmiri.

Chikankari is said to have a Turkish impression though it is mentioned in the records of Megasthenes in 3rd century B.C. Kashmiri embroidery is colorful with symbols like chinar leaf, apple blossom, lily, the saffron flower and the fauna of the region. Phulkari has brightly colored flowers on coarse cotton. Beadwork and Zardosi are Mughal introductions where as mirror work is typical to Gujarat and Rajasthan. Kantha’ Embroidery of Bengal makes imaginative use of waste rugs and Kasuti is famous for religious themes.

- Styles of Chinese Silk Embroidery Art

There are several different levels of Chinese embroidered silk visual art:

• Antique (all handmade obviously)

• High quality, classical handmade

• Ordinary quality handmade

• Machine made

As corresponding, Suzhou embroidery (Su embroidery for short), Hunan embroidery (Xiang embroidery for short), Sichuan embroidery (Shu embroidery for short) and Guangdong embroidery (Yue embroidery for short) are the four most famous styles of embroidery in China.

The city of Suhou is the center of the Chinese handmade embroidered silk visual art. From there the silk industry spreads west to other cities including Suzhou and it extends to Shanghai, Wuxi, etc. and now includes Beijing, Guangxi, Guangdong. Shenzhen, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Shandong, Hubei, Anhui and other places.

Merits of Chinese Handmade Embroidery

Handmade classical silk embroidery is alive. The high quality work looks lifelike. It’s been created with loving care by an individual artist. These people are masters of their trade.

They have incredible skill and their work is stunningly beautiful. But it looks alive. The machine made versions look stiff and unnatural. It’s quite easily distinguishable.

Handmade embroidery is done with pure silk thread. It has an exquisite, glossy feel to it. Real silk thread will break when used in a sewing machine. So the thread that is used in a machine is thicker and has an artificial fiber feel to it because it is a mix. It is not pure silk.

Chinese handmade silk embroidery is highly collectible. There are many collectors in Germany, the rest of Europe, the USA, Japan, Africa and in other countries, usually the affluent art aficionados all over the world. The embroidered silk is truly representative of Chinese art.

Authentic antique silk embroidered visual art sells for anywhere between $35,000 and $125,000, and is an excellent investment as their prices continue to rise. Over the long term (hundreds of years) the value has increased by as much as 50 times. These pieces are on display in museums and exist in private collections and become available for sale in much the same way any antique art does: dealers, auctions and so on, with the usual problems of verifying authenticity and provenance.

But machine embroidery may have become common these days and perhaps more economical but theuniqueness, variety, intricacy, art and fineness of hand embroidery is unmatched and as yet unchallenged. Today you can also buy modern, hand embroidered silk of the type that is being produced. This varies greatly in quality. At one extreme there is ordinary handmade silk embroidery which you can buy for as little as $100 for a piece. Then there is high quality, classical embroidered silk being produced at higher prices. These pieces tend to sell at auction and therefore the prices can go very high and be somewhat unpredictable.

A Special Kind of Chinese Handmade Embroidery – Chinese Double Sided Embroidery

The double sided embroidery is a technique in which stitching takes place on both sides of a single transparent silk fabric. The design shows on both sides (front and reverse). Such a piece is normally mounted on a wooden frame as a screen, one really can’t tell which side is the front or the back.

Most of the double sided embroideries, almost all, people see in shops have the same images on both sides. However there are a few double sided embroideries that have two different images on both sides. It’s a mystery and secret how this kind of works are made.

Fine Works of Chinese Handmade Embroidery

People from different countries have different tastes. A silk handmade embroidery popular in one country is not necessarily popular in another country. But there are some silk embroideries that seem almost everyone likes them.

Have you ever seen such a beautiful painting on a piece of silk satin? Just imagine embroidering such a delicate figure with threads and needles! But such exquisite embroidery has been one of China’s most famous art forms for many centuries, and four main schools of embroidery have established with their unique techniques.

Picture: The Chinese Art of Painting with Silk Threads

Remark: Clever photographer, Nancy Fox, recently returned from a tour of mainland China. A visit to an embroidery factory in Suzhou was high on her list of places to see. She was not disappointed. When she arrived, the artists were hard at work producing these paintings. They readily consented to let Nancy photograph them while they worked.

* Last, if you interests, you can find all kinds of Chinese silk handmade silk embroidery art for sale on the Internet(http://www.made-in-china.com/products-search/hot-china-products/Handmade_Embroidery.html) like any other modern or old art.

I’d like to introduce and display an excellent selection of China fine art products and gifts – www.123giftfactory.com to you, also give you great suggestions about gift ideas and the latest fashion art trends in China.

30 May 2010 - 1:38Isometric Exercises to Increase Striking Power in Martial Arts

Isometrics is an old often forgotten method of increasing muscular strength. It has several advantages for increasing a martial artist or self-defense practitioner’s striking power as well.

What is Isometrics?

Isometrics may be defined as a muscular contraction in which the amount of work performed is equal to the resistance.

A very basic example of an isometric exercise is pressing your palms together in front of your chest. Caution: because isometrics involves complete muscular contractions people with high blood pressure are at a higher risk for a heart attack during this type of exercise. Always seek the advice of a physician before engaging in any physical activity.

Advantages of Isometric Exercises

No Equipment to Little Equipment is Necessary

Train anywhere you want to when you want to. Even if you’re traveling you’ll find the simple pieces of equipment right there in your hotel room

Isometric Exercises Can be Done Anywhere

Train anywhere you want to when you want to. Even if you’re traveling you’ll find the simple pieces of equipment right there in your hotel room

Isometric Exercises Can be Done Discreetly

Train anywhere you want to when you want to. Even at a meeting isometric exercises can be executed discreetly.

Lack of Muscular Bulk Development

Those of you interested in developing muscular strength without the normal increase in the size of muscular fibers as found with isokinetic and isotonic (force resistant range of motion exercises such as weight lifting) isometrics, possibly do to the lack of motion, is a solution.

Complete Relaxation of Antagonistic Muscle Groups

When any athlete attempts to increase power a relaxation of the opposing muscle groups hindering the attempted action is not only necessary for an increase of power but for a conservation of energy as well.

Do you see what I’m getting at here? Once it becomes a learned reflex (please don’t use the incorrect term muscle memory muscles don’t have memories) to relax opposing muscle groups and a full contraction of agonistic muscle groups is developed as a learned reflex combined with drills to increase speed, power is increased with less energy!

Yes I know a huge statement in the beginning of a dissertation but I wanted to get you as excited as I was when I formed my theories which were later tested and through testimonials proven.

More on My Power Development Theory for Isometrics

The formula for kinetic energy (energy of motion) is 1/2mv^2. That’s half mass times velocity, which is basically speed, squared. You’ll note speed is a more important factor, however since we’re discussing strength in this article how can we work with and increase mass?

Gross Motor-Coordination

Gross motor-coordination is the use of agonistic muscle groups in proper timing in order to increase the ability to and efficiency of work. To be more precise to a martial arts and self-defense point of view coordination of your body to hit harder. You may feel you do this already but let me ask you, can you ever hit hard enough or are you always striving to find ways to hit even harder?

One solution I’ve discovered to increasing gross motor-coordination is by improving stability in order to generate the greatest potential for force in and through a strike. I have never released this information except in my ebook and downloadable video Step by Step Learning Internal Energy Strikes. Obviously with a family to feed I cannot divulge the content of my entire work, but let me get you excited with this bit of information….

Positioning Yourself in a Striking Position and Utilizing Isometric Contractions Will Increase Stability by Improving Form!

YES! Think about what you’re trying to achieve with your stances for striking.

No weight shift in the opposite direction of your strike.

Optimal penetration for greatest injury potential to your attacker to increase your chances of survival.

Isometrics is an exercise in which you can’t compensate lack of stability with speed. For example, plyometrics is a system of exercises in which explosive power is used and developed. This is a great system of exercise of which I also support, but, as in many fast paced speed type of drills it’s very easy to compensate with speed a lack of proper mechanics which would give you even more speed and power when properly developed.

I, along with my readers have noted, by positioning oneself to emulate a strike in a stationary position against a resistance equal to or greater than the muscular effort needed for a complete contraction, proper form for this position is realized especially after fatigue begins setting into the primary striking limb and the body attempts to compensate with agonistic muscle groups for that striking position! In other words proper body mechanics (sorry I know it’s an over-used phrase) is realized and a learned reflex and kinesthetic sense (awareness of the body in space) develops for this more proper position with greater advantageous skeletal positioning.

Are You Thinking Now?

If you are I did my job. If you’re the type of person whose training is slowed down by yabutting everything let me save you the trouble. ALL training exercises are just a part of the whole. Thus I’ll list some of the disadvantages of isometric exercises.

Disadvantages of Isometric Exercises

Lack of Muscular Bulk Development

Yes I know I listed it as an advantage, but some people want the bulk. Those of you interested in developing muscular strength without the normal increase in the size of muscular fibers as found with isokinetic and isotonic (force resistant range of motion exercises such as weight lifting) isometrics, possibly do to the lack of motion, is a solution.

Increased High Blood Pressure during Isometrics

That was the first thing I told you. So check with your doctor before engaging in any physical activity.

Muscular Strength Improves at The Angle of Contraction

Let’s use the pressing hands example again. You’re only improving muscular strength with your hands together. In order to improve muscular strength throughout your entire range of motion you will need to execute the isometric exercises at three different ranges of motion for the exercise.

Lack of Speed Development

Again just a part of the whole. You’ll need to add some speed drills to your repetuare. Those who join my newsletter receive a free speed drills book.

Lack of Dynamic Gross Motor-Coordination Training

Make sure you practice your techniques moving throughout your range of motion as well as your isometrics.

Conclusion

Obviously the disadvantages of isometric exercises are compensated for in my book and video. The advantages of the little used training method are definitely utilized. I firmly believe isometrics is an important part of anyone’s training system with it’s advantages for both strength and stability training.

J. Richard Kirkham is a dual certified teacher specializing in alternative teaching methods and a martial arts instructor He currently resides in Honolulu with his wife Jan and son Hunter. Mr. Kirkham has produced three works with include isometrics in the system of exercises.

29 May 2010 - 14:12The Art to make Leather from Raw

Many consumers own a variety of leather products, ranging from belts to jackets, and the resourceful material has been used for thousands of years in a variety of products. The process for making leather includes a complex set of steps from skin to finished product. These steps are often referred to as “tanning” due to the most typical part of the process, which uses the tannic acids present in plant matter to chemically modify the leather so that it will not decompose or rot.

If used without any treatment, animal hides would quickly break down and begin to stink. For this reason, the hide needs to be treated to form leather. The process can be broken down into two

basic stages: wet blue processing and finishing, both of which are adept in large commercial spaces known as tanneries. While it is possible to make leather at home, it is an aromatic and complicated process, and most people prefer to send out their hides for tanning.

Skin has three layers beginning with the epidermis, proceeding to the derma, and ending in the adipose, which is also known as flesh. When making leather, only the strong and flexible derma, which is a layer of collagen fibers, is preferred. The collagen is exuded by cells, and forms a network of useful strings. When leather is processed, these fibers are retained while everything else is stripped away.

First, the skin is fleshed, the flesh being cleaned off of the hide, and the surplus adipose, or animal fat, is removed. Then the hides are washed and soaked, which regain moisture to dried hides while loosening blood and dirt. Chemicals are added to turn the water alkaline, which will eat away at the hair and epidermis. The collagen fibers begin to swell, while excess proteins rushed out.

When this process is complete, the water is brought to a stable pH and the swelling goes down, so that enzymatic cleaners can be added to remove any remaining organic waste. Then the hide is pickled in a highly acidic solution, which prepares it for tanning. Tanning agents form bonds with the collagen in the hide, causing it to resist bacterial attack, and the hides are removed from the wet blue processing tank for finishing, after being run through rollers to remove excess water.

When the hides emerge from the wet blue stage, they are split to the preferred thickness. Depending on the planned use of the leather, this thickness may vary. Then the leather is re-tanned, with different materials depending on whether it needs to be firm or soft, and dyed. After dyeing, the leather is oiled so that it will remain flexible and soft. Then the leather is dried, mechanically treated to soften it, and buffed so that it will have a smooth and attractive surface. Some leathers are marked with patterns before the final stage, which is the function of a finishing coat of polymer or wax to protect the surface of the leather.

Leather treatment used to be a highly polluting industry, but tanneries responded to public protest about odor and pollution issues. Tanneries now recycle the liquids used in the leather making process and desist from chemical dumping. Tanning still carries a strong stink, but is no longer accompanied by environmentally unfriendly business practices in most parts of the world.

FAPORT International was established in 2001 with the head office in Sialkot-Pakistan backed by two European and one North American office including Germany, UK and USA respectively.

The vision was to start with an aim to serve in the manufacturing and export of premium quality Leather Garments & Accessories, Cordura Garments, Gloves Sexy Leather Garments, etc,

29 May 2010 - 2:48Art as I see it..

Definition of Visual Arts:

The aspect of fine arts education in regards to curriculum is visual arts. ”The visual arts are an essential form of communication, indispensable to inquiry and expression”. Visual arts include many different mediums.  “This category may include the traditional fine arts such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture; communication and design arts such as film, television, graphics, and product design; architecture and environmental arts such as urban, interior, and landscape; folk arts; and works of art such as ceramics, fibers, jewelry as well as works in wood, paper, and other materials”.

Visual art is in fact one of the most important aspects of fine arts education.  It involves physical and mental skill, both learned and utilized.  Visual arts can be used in all areas of education.

 Importance of Art for children

When a child creates a work of art, they are not just drawing a picture; they are also creating aspects of self-importance, individuality and engaging in self-expression.  By assisting and encouraging a child’s creativity, you set the stage for endless opportunities for that child’s imagination. A healthy imagination not only creates a resourceful and productive individual, but it also builds self-esteem, which is an important tool that will be used for the rest of that child’s life.

Give freedom of expression to children

It is through these creative studies that they learn to think independently and solve unexpected problems instead of just robot like repetitive reciting of book facts. Freedom of expression lets them learn to think outside of the mainstream way of seeing things and that is how new inventions and innovative ways are developed and discovered

Importance of art in schools

Many teachers and educators may disagree about which method is best to teach our children how to read and write, or learn history, science, and even math, but there are no really serious questions about whether these subjects should be taught to all children. They are the core of our academic programs in schools today. In most schools, the other subjects, including the arts, are squeezed in, or they are not even included at all in the education of our children.

When budgets are trimmed these subjects are threatened as if they are not as important in the education of our children. But they are such an important element of life that they must be included among core academic subjects or we will risk losing the opportunity for our children to develop their creativity and express their own unique aspects of themselves.
Most of educators and people in the federal education legislation may agree that the arts are an important part of life, but this does not make them part of the essential core of education and they should be. The arts are everywhere in our lives from graphic arts to music and are essential to adding the necessary dimension and depth to our children’s thought process. The earlier that children experience arts included in their education the better off they will be. There is a direct connection to dramatic play and cognitive thinking that many studies have concluded including Howard Gardner’s project called Project Zero. The purpose of the study is to understand the process of learning at the individual level when it directly includes the arts. This study is being compiled at Harvard where Gardner is a cognitive psychologist. Project Zero was founded at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1967 by a philosopher by the name of Nelson Goodman to study and improve education in the arts because he felt that learning the arts should be studied as a serious cognitive activity, but that “zero” had been firmly established about the field which is why the project was given its name.
The importance of this study is immeasurable and the impact of its findings immense. It studies how children develop as a whole person not just in the area of traditional studies. The mission states it all. It is to “understand and enhance learning, thinking, and creativity in the arts, as well as humanistic and scientific disciplines, at the individual and institutional levels.”
There are so many studies that are being conducted within this study, such as Artful Thinking. This is a program designed to explore how works of art can help students empower their thinking in ways that cover the entire curriculum, including critical thinking in math and science. Its focus is to look at art rather then create it. It is a part of Visible Thinking Network with in Project Zero. Its focus is to study and develop the thinking process of students by cultivating curiosity, open-mindedness as well as reasoning.

These are key areas in need of development at a young age in order to fully understand other subjects such as math, history and science. Thinking routines and deposits are developed in the students to create a deeper understanding of any subject that they may study throughout life. Currently the Artful Thinking project is in use by teachers in grades K-8 and has been noted of its great success in helping students develop those important critical thinking skills that are necessary in all aspects of education and life in general.

School Implementation

Visual arts are essential element of fine arts in application to other academics.  It helps with perception, production, knowledge, communication, evaluation, and connection.  “Visual arts education is a multifaceted creative process. It includes the development of perceptual awareness and the ability to use materials expressively. In addition, creative and critical thinking are taught and identified as: generative, imaginative, metaphorical, analytical, synthetic, and collaborative”

Visual arts  include the artistic domains of dance, theater, music, and visual arts.  Each of these disciplines is uniquely different, helping students grasp techniques and knowledge, which can be applied in all areas of life and education.  “All four fine arts curricula do provide opportunities for growth in three common areas of learning [for students]: personal, social, cultural, and historical contexts; knowledge, skills, and techniques; and creating, expressing, perceiving, and responding”.

As presented in this artical, there are many positive effects, which stem from fine arts education.  Talents and aptitude learned by the students who participate in fine arts classes become better-rounded students in comparison to those who do not.  Learning techniques in the areas of dance, theater/drama, music, and visual arts have proven to be useful in all other academic curriculums.  There are limited reasons why schools hold back from promoting fine arts in education and curriculum.  The only reason some schools hold back from implementation of the fine arts is cost.  Fine arts classes can be pricey, with the need to purchase special equipment such as VCRs, instruments, books, radios/sound systems, computers, etc.  One Maryland school knows just how expensive fine arts education can be, specifically in the music department. The programs in the fine arts curriculum are some of the most expensive courses in education.

Art as I see it is a concept:

It’s a language of emotion, it’s similar to a written document in that it expresses a subject but it also goes further, to depict someone’s moods and feelings. The greatest writers could not express in words the pain expressed in Picasso’s Guernica or a photo of starving children in the Sudan. This is the purpose of art. Art is a visual memory and humans are always most emotionally responsive to visual expressions. This is why I think art should be taught differently in schools.

Art should be appreciated. There are amazingly talented artists and you can only benefit from learning from them. However, art appreciation is different to art. Art is creative: it’s about expressing your own views, not abstracting or alienating yourself from your own emotions.

It’s what the picture means to you and that’s what engages young kids. Art does not take on an objective nature when you’re 14 or 15 years old. It’s subjective and ascetic. It’s not what some man sitting in a museum thinks it’s what you feel! Have you expressed yourself? Do you get gratification from your creation?

It’s like football, yes you appreciate it and analyze it, but it’s the doing, the act of playing, which gets you going. That’s why I feel that the teaching of art should be changed from a focus on extrapolation to a focus on creation. Everyone has something to say, let him or her say it without the badgering or comparing to other artists.

Ok, you could say this won’t help them develop their skills if they aren’t compared or rated. If you give a child the drive to achieve they will develop, guidance is essential, teaching them techniques is essential but giving them a 1000 word essay to write on any personality they will get bored You can only truly appreciate if you create.

So when I got my class of disaffected year 9 they saw a new way of teaching because I didn’t have a lesson plan (out of choice) and I was using alternative methods to produce a small army of talented individuals who worked only to better themselves.
This sounds idealistic I know, but that was one of my goals. The second was to show them art wasn’t a subject they were taught: it must not be for if we allow this to happen the classes will be overrun with students with no passion and who decide to come only because it’s perceived as an easy GCSE. This would in fact be pointless and I will not allow it.

The third aim was simple: the students I had were considered troublemakers and were removed from their timetabled classes because they were not engaging in the lessons and thus misbehaving.
I felt that if I could grab their interest and interact with them positively giving guidance on an individual basis they would start enjoying art more.
I feel that because I treated them as mature students and as equals rather than as students they started appreciating school as a tool for their own use and not as some kind of prison. They quickly started turning up to every lesson rather then bunking off.

Conclusion

It is an observable fact that art makes people happier, and also that happiness is one of the most important factors in life, even if you only look at bare survival. Just for instance, only unhappy people commit suicide, so it should be clear that being happy is great if you want to live long! Not to mention that happy people are more productive, and production is basic for survival.

Overall, fine arts education is extremely essential to the education of our students.  The areas of dance, theater/drama, music, and visual arts promote alternative learning and teaching methods.  Students gain knowledge and experience that can be a fundamental mechanism today’s teachers use.  In conclusion, fine arts are ultimately used in school curriculum to encourage creativity and motivation.

27 May 2010 - 15:50Share Aristocratic Charm Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte-Myluxphone

Nowadays in market the most popular handsets are Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte and Apple 3G IPHONE White. Both these majestic devices are extremely feature rich and enriched with highly pleasing design and shape. However, the comparison of both these ultimate gadget is completely out of question as no one is behind one another either we talk about technology or about design. Both these amazing mobile widgets are full fledged with exceptional and high, quality features and serves all the basic communication as well as entertainment needs of their prospective users with their superb and world class functionality. Nokia has got some front. The 8800 Carbon Arte is an S40-toting handset retailing at over a grand. Who, especially in these cash-strapped days, is going to spend more than a thousand quid on a SIM-free mobile phone?

The most appealing feature of this phone is its iPod audio/video player, which lets the users to play their favorite songs and videos in the handset and charge up their tired mind with its awesome display and unbeatable sound quality. There is the craftsmanship and materials including carbon fiber, titanium, stainless steel and polished glass. There is the 4GB of internal memory, though frankly that’s a bit of a poor justification as you can add memory by the gigabyte to phones cheaply these days, and most, unlike this model, have a micro-SD card slot for the purpose. Yes, that’s right. While you do get 4GB of memory here, it is all internal and you can’t bulk it out further. Recently Nokia has launched a premium mobile phone in Nokia Arte sub-brand, Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. But on going through the specifications of this phone, you will found that the Nokia 8800 does not offer anything advanced for the price tag of $1600/1100 Euro. However, the design really gives the phone a high class image. Just as the name suggests, the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte is mainly made of carbon fiber mixed with titanium, polished glass and stainless steel. These materials give Nokia N99 a luxury look. It weights only 150 Grams bringing it in the category of light-weight mobile phone.

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte mobile comes in 2″ OLED display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors display. The display may be a disappointment as it is small and has poor sunlight legibility. Just below the display is the D-pad with 4 control keys and the keypad is hidden under a cover which you need to slide up. The shape of Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte is good and can easily fit into your hand. If you will tap twice on the lower part of the mobile, an analog or digital clock will display on the mobile phone screen, hence making it convenient to check time without unlocking the keypad. Overall the design features of Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte are quite good as it has put hard work into the design since it is the selling point. In term of functionalities, Nokia 8800 Arte features are nothing different from other midrange phones. Nokia 8800 Arte mobile phone only support tri-band network and though it is a 3G phone, but it lacks video calling function. The web browser also is a disappointment due to weak internet usages. The camera in Nokia N900 mobile phone has 3-megapixel resolution with auto focus, but has no flash and so it is pointless to try snapping pictures in a dark environment.
